Terms and Conditions

Welcome to The Gaun By Maya! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for clients who wish to use our attire rental services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Attire Usage and Fitting Guidelines
1.1. Clients are required to wear a hijab when using attire from The Gaun for akad and reception events.
1.2. Clients must schedule an appointment at least 1 (one) day prior to visiting The Gaun’s gallery for fitting.
1.3. It is recommended that clients browse the catalog before visiting to facilitate the selection process.
1.4. Clients considering a booking may view and try on only 1 (one) attire.
1.5. The fitting and consultation session will last for 120 minutes, during which clients can try multiple attires as long as time permits.
2. Booking & Payment
2.1. Full payment and deposit must be completed at the final fitting session.
2.2. A down payment (DP) of at least 50% of the total transaction is required for attire rentals.
2.3. A deposit of 20% applies for rentals within the city, 30% for out-of-town rentals, and 50% for rentals outside the province.
2.4. The deposit will be fully refunded if no issues arise during the rental period. The Gaun’s delivery team will ensure the attire is returned in good condition and complete before the refund is processed.
3. Rental Duration
3.1. Clients must conduct a final fitting to ensure the attire fits as desired.
3.2. Final fittings must take place no earlier than 1 (one) week before the event, and attire collection must be done no later than 1 (one) day before the event.
3.3. The attire must be returned no later than 1 (one) day after the event.
3.4. A late return fee of 10% per day will be charged based on the total transaction amount. This will be deducted from the deposit.
4. Revised Fitting Policy
4.1. Clients wishing to revise their fitting must consult with The Gaun’s customer service in advance.
4.2. Revisions can be made between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM on agreed days, based on consultation with customer service.
4.3. Clients are allowed one revision fitting, up to 3 (three) days after the booking for one attire.
4.4. For revisions outside this timeframe, clients must upgrade to a higher-grade attire.
5. Usage and Restrictions
5.1. The rented attire can only be worn by the person who rented it and may not be sublet to others without written consent from The Gaun.
5.2. Each attire rental is valid for only one event. If attire is used for more than one event, an additional rental fee will be charged.
6. Pickup & Return
6.1. Delivery costs are borne by the client.
6.2. For local deliveries, The Gaun recommends using our in-house courier to ensure the attire’s safety.
6.3. If clients opt to use a third-party courier, the safety and condition of the attire become the client’s responsibility.
6.4. Attire condition will be checked, and a rental form signed during pickup.
6.5. Complaints will not be entertained if the client skips the final fitting and faces issues with the rental package.
6.6. Before leaving the gallery, clients must check the attire and its accessories. The Gaun is not responsible for issues after departure.
7. Maintenance & Damage
7.1. Clients must care for the attire to avoid damage during the rental period.
7.2. Minor damages, such as non-stubborn stains or loose stitching, are not the client’s responsibility.
7.3. Major damages (e.g., tears, burns, permanent stains) will result in repair or replacement costs, payable by the client.
7.4. Clients are not required to launder the attire; The Gaun will handle cleaning.
8. Rescheduling & Cancellation
8.1. Clients can reschedule attire usage if their event is postponed. Availability of the attire will be rechecked by The Gaun.
8.2. If the attire is unavailable for the new date, clients must select another available attire.
8.3. Cancellation without a valid reason will result in a forfeiture of the down payment (DP).
8.4. If the cancellation is due to a force majeure event, such as the passing of a bride or groom, criminal charges, or natural disasters, a refund of 50% of the total transaction can be issued, or the rental can be transferred to a family member.
By booking attire at The Gaun, clients agree to all the terms and conditions outlined above. These terms may be updated periodically, and it is the client’s responsibility to review them before any transaction.
